Shackles provide connections to ropes, chains and other rated fittings. Screw pin shackles are commonly used for mooring or lifting applications, since it is easy to use and quick to attach. While, if constant use, the pin may become loose when friction is abundant, in this case, bolted with safety pin shackles are a better choice.

When choosing the shackles, SWL and MBL are the key factors to be considered. SWL and Sizes are stamped on the shackle body for easy identification.

1.When selecting a shackle for a mooring system, it is important to consider the working load limit (WLL) and the size of the shackle to match the specific requirements of the mooring task.

2.Regular inspection and maintenance of shackles is essential to ensure their safety and reliability. This includes checking for any signs of wear, damage or corrosion and replacing the shackles if necessary.
