Waysail Supply And Delivery Tuna Fish Farm Mooring System

We design and supply Turnkey Solutions for marine and aquaculture industries.

Tuna farm mooring systems refer to equipment and devices used to secure and anchor tuna farms in open water. Here are some key components commonly found in mooring systems for tuna farms:

Mooring lines: These are strong ropes and chains that connect farm structures to anchor points. They provide stability and keep the farm protected from currents, waves and other external forces.

Anchors: Heavy-duty anchors are used to secure mooring lines to the seabed. The type of anchor used depends on factors such as water depth, seabed conditions and farm size. Common anchor types include self-weight anchors, drag anchors, and helical anchors.

Mooring buoys: These are large buoys attached to floating tuna farm structures. They provide reference points and can be used for various purposes such as connecting mooring lines, supporting farm infrastructure or serving as navigational markers.

Connectors and Hardware: A variety of connectors, shackles, and hardware are used to securely connect the different components of a mooring system together. These components need to be designed to withstand the specific loads and forces experienced in offshore aquaculture operations.

In this project, 1000kg plough anchors are involved to secure mooring lines to the seabed, together with long link chains, shackles, master links to constitute a whole mooring system.
